Habit/Neurosis
He has to have something in his hands almost constantly, preferably something smooth and round or something he could gain a measure of comfort from. Back when he was in the army, he used to have a bullet or a switchblade in hand. He gave them up when he was taken to the orphanage. It was not easy and it took a bit before he found a replacement in marbles and milk candy. Now, he constantly has them on his person.
Personality
A splash of unpredictability and dash of mischief topped with a sprinkle of sarcasm makes up the basis of Synch’s personality. An actor, Synch fools almost everyone with his veneer of a fun-loving, typical teenager with a ready smile for everyone. He easily makes friends, though to him, they are dispensable.

He gets along with people well enough, though a rather vengeful person, Synch is not a person to cross. Rest assured that your life would be miserable if you do. He also has no morals or scruples whatsoever and he would do anything to accomplish his goals. For someone who is as arrogant as Synch, he follows orders given to him readily enough, though only for someone that either earned his respect or prove their worth to him. Even then, he may sometimes stray, going off to play his own little games.

Appearance
Synch stands at five foot nine, and possesses an athletic build. He has dark, short, messy spiky hair that could never seem to stay down no matter what he does and green eyes. The first thing that you will notice about Synch is that he almost always has grin or a smirk plastered on his face. Synch favors round neck shirt and three quarter pants, wearing them majority of the time except during rare occasions.

History
Synch’s life started out unremarkable. He was born into a farming family in Tsentoroi, a village southeast of the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains. Synch’s story was that of a typical child soldier’s. His parents and siblings scratched out a living growing roots and tubers until that fateful day. The First Battle of Grozny caused enormous destruction and casualties amongst the civilian population, Synch’s parents were one of the quickly rising numbers. As the separatist forces were declining quickly, they started recruiting any able bodies that was available. Even children were not spared.

Hungry and pushed into a desperate corner, Synch and his siblings joined the Chechen separatist. There, they learned how to use automatic weapons, grenades, mortars, and explosives. From the very beginning of their training, he was taught not to treat their enemies or sympathizers without mercy. Killing, mutilating, torturing people became part of his daily life. It was a dog eat dog world, if you do not kill them, they will kill you on a later date. Slowly, he became inured to death. With his brilliance in strategizing and planning, he became his commander’s favorite. It was a position he reveled in, as it meant he was untouchable by most.

Until news that his sibling had tried to escape reached his commander’s ears. Furious, Synch was asked to kill him, both as a punishment to the escapee and as a way to see if they could trust him. He knew that if he did not follow orders, he would be considered as a traitor and killed instead. The choice was easy enough. Synch did not even felt sad as the body of his brother slumped over dead.

The First Chechen War ended in 1996. Synch was twelve then and already considered a soldier. From 1996 until 1999, he laid low with his fellow members, carrying out kidnappings, political murders to survive in the war ravaged country. When the Second Chechen War started, Synch joined the Kadyrovites, who consisted thousands of personally devoted armed men loyal to Ramzan Kadyrov. He only stayed until the near the end of 1999. After the Russian forces recaptured Chechnya, Synch decided enough was enough. He did not want to end up on the enemies’ hands. During one of the many skirmishes, he used the chance to slip away. Using his age as a factor, Synch pretended to be a civilian who has lost his parents in the chaos. It worked and he was taken to an orphanage where he stayed for a year until a chance meeting took him to England.

Other relevant information
★ His past as a child soldier is not known unless one observes him carefully. He hides that side of him well and will try to fit in with the other children the best he could. But from time to time, the mask slips.
☆ Some things and situations can trigger a severe reaction from him. As he only had about a year of readjustment into the normal society, he has retained most of his soldier mentality and can be violent at times.
★ Practical and efficient, Synch has a rather callous outlook on life. Whatever that hinders him, he discards.
☆ Participated in the First Chechen War (starting from the First battle for Grozny) and for a brief time in the Second Chechen War.
